What is this bullshit?! No, really. What is it?

I don't even think I've got the energy to go into all the reasons this would be the WORST move in history. But I'll do it anyway. Hey, someone might read this, see I make sense and stop writing this crap every two weeks.

• Dahveed Veeyah has said time and time again, he wants to stay in Spain. I know us Liverpool fans like to think we're in Spain because of our large Spanish contingent, but I promise you, Liverpool is in England. Therefore outside his requested zone and making this transfer highly unlikely.
• The stingy American bastards that currently own Liverpool giving up €49 mil for a striker who is currently at his peak and probably won't play at this level for more than 2/3 years after this...yeah, not happening. Actually, the likelihood of them giving up €49mil for anybody is pretty damn low.
• Veeyah and Torres can't play together on a regular basis. They're both strikers that play better when they're up front alone, so playing together, one of the two would have to play off the main striker. And that's kind of Steven Gerrard's current position. While he's versatile enough to play wherever the manager tells him, just off the striker is probably his best position.
• Neither Veeyah or Torres would be happy with being a benchwarmer, so alternating them would kind of fail. If you have unhappy strikers, they don't perform and it would kind of be a waste of a total of €70mil or however much the two of them added up to.
  
• The EPL is so far from Veeyah's style of football, it's unreal. There's no way he'd be as successful as everybody thinks he'd be if he were to move to Liverpool. He does well in La Liga because he can play his way without getting seven shades of shit kicked out of him because he's too good and they can't handle him.
• Liverpool may well be able to afford buying him, but realistically, they're not going to keep up his wages etc for however long his contract would be. And you'd better believe that if he stops performing, they're not going to want to be paying him obscene amounts of money each week.
• Veeyah has signed with Valencia until 2014. And his buyout clause is some crazy shit. Liverpool cannot pay that. Nobody can. Except maybe Man City or Real Madrid, who can seemingly pay anything.
• And on top of all this, Veeyah has been leaving Valencia for the past 4 transfer windows at least if we're to believe what newspaper reports tell us. He's still there. That kind of says more than I could. End of discussion, case closed.

25th June 2009 never happened

Yes, I am in extreme denial. A lot of bad shit happened on this particular day, so I am wiping it from my memory completely. I never saw anything wrong with living in denial before, and I won't see a problem with it now.

On the bright side, the general consensus with Real Madrid fans is that Albiol is a project for the future, not a guaranteed starter. Looks like all the OGs he scored and PKs he conceded were good for something. That means, if I'm lucky, I don't have to deal with seeing him in that shirt just yet. He's a Valencia boy. He will always BE a Valencia boy, no matter where he plays. And he didn't want to leave. The thing that annoys me the most is that they got him for just €15mil. Come on people. We're in serious financial trouble and he's one of the best CBs we had. Have a heart and add another €5mil to that, yes? I'd be nice about this whole situation, but I am physically incapable of being anything other that seriously bitter. I hope he scores 50 OGs and concedes 30 PKs in his first week so you send him back to us. Ok, no, I'm not really that immature. Just, an OG here and there won't hurt. I just want him to do well and be happy. So yeah...send him back to us.

As for the blog, well...the reason I've not updated it much lately is because it's more or less transfer season. I HATE this time of year with a passion, and the constant speculation drives me absolutely insane. I don't like having to deal with it, and I rather enjoy living in my little bubble. If I had to blog on what happens, I think I would actually go crazy.

This guy is seriously amazing. After the past few weeks, I honestly thought he would leave, but no. He wants to stay and see out his contract even though Valencia didn't make the CL and he deserves CL football. I know I harp on about this all the time. I don't want him to leave. I really don't. However, he is a CL type player and he deserves to be playing in the top tier of European competition. If Valencia aren't too desperate for money and can afford to hang onto him for one more season, they should. But if they don't make the CL next year, then honestly, for the sake of his career, he should go. It'll break my heart to see him play against Valencia, so any other La Liga team would be hard to see him at. Especially when the only two realistic options are Real Madrid and Barcelona. I just have everything crossed that Valencia make it out of this mess with all their key players still at the club. The painful reality is that they will probably lose one or two players at least. I'm sure I'll come to terms with that eventually. Just not yet.

There's so many things wrong with that article, I don't even know where to begin. The Davids must not under any circumstances leave. I don't know how many times I need to say this before people start paying attention to me. It took me a good few weeks of bleating on about Vicente starting a game until he finally did. And even then, it was only because there were no other options available more than Unai wanting to play him. If I have to do the same for this, then I will. He can't leave. He musn't leave. It really is that simple. Screw the money, it won't help if you don't have your best player. And if it gets to the situation where you HAVE to sell him, please don't send him to Man City. They're an alright team. Being an 'alright team' is not good enough for him. Seriously?? I have been laughing non stop about this since I got the google alert this morning. The mere notion of it is just...no. Seriously, think about it. Dahveed has scored something like 19 goals for them already. He IS Valencia atm, when he's not on the pitch, they fail in a big way lately. Hell, they fail when he IS there sometimes, because one man alone cannot do the job of 10 others. But the thought of him leaving...do.not.want. I know that he's the main player that can bring in the money, and I get that. But come on, I think you need him a lot more than you need the money Valencia. Especially if you're going to consider bringing in Voronin as a replacement. I know that sounds like a stupid statement considering the extent of their debts, but honestly, there is only so much the money they're going to get from selling him is going to do. And when that's gone, it's the same old mess all over again, only this time, they don't have someone of his class to pull them into at least mid table mediocrity. I want them to stay true to what they've said and only sell if they absolutely HAVE to.

I know it will eventually come to this. It has to. Valencia won't survive their ridic debts if they don't sell at least some of the players. I'm just glad they've finally admitted it needs to happen and there's a chance it WILL happen this summer. I think I might deal with it a lot better when it eventually happens if I've been prepared for this. Up until now, they were adamant that Veeyah and Silva are going to stay, but the fact of the matter is, they can't say that for sure, they just never know what's going to happen. It'll hurt like hell watching them play against Valencia. That's sort of why I want Dahveed to get over himself and agree to go and play for Liverpool. At least I could sort of deal then, he won't have to come up against former team mates and inflict the sort of punishment on them that I see him inflict on others on a weekly basis. Because really, can you imagine what would happen if Valencia had to play AGAINST him?! The defence can barely deal with strikers who are much less lethal than him. Boys, please make it into the CL. Ugh. Can. They. Stop?! All these transfer rumours are starting to do my head in now. I am more that likely going to be a nervous wreck over the next two months or so. Every day, I log on and see my inbox full of google alerts. They all tell me Dahveed is going to Man City this January. Let me tell you now - do not want! I don't care how much money they are offering. I do not care how desperate Valencia are for money (btw, that shouldn't even matter, the debt has to be paid off before the transfer window even opens). I do not care how many other superstars are moving there in January. He must not leave Valencia.

It's clubs like Man City that are ruining football for the rest of us. Is there really any point in buying every single good player in the world? You're only allowed to field 11 players. That's 11 world class superstars being kept happy, and the other god knows how many sat on the bench. You think they'll stick around for long? I never used to have an issue with City, but now that they think having money means they have a god given right to buy every single player that's any good, I actually find myself wanting them to fail really badly. They're using their money to bully people and exploit situations and it disgusts me.

Lets look into all the reasons the transfers they are talking about are highly unlikely:

1. 1. No self respecting footballer would drop his team in order to go and sit on the bench.
2. 2. Money does not buy you everything you want - some people have this thing called loyalty.
3. 3. Why anybody would want to leave Italy/Spain for miserable old England is beyond me.
4. 4. Dahveed has just signed an extension to his contract until 2014. His buyout clause is something like £130mil. Now, I love him, but he's not worth that kind of money. Buying him would be stupid.
5. 5. Can you imagine players like Messi, Kaka, Buffon, Iker and Dahveed at Man City. I mean, realistically? They're going to give up CL football for a place in the UEFA Cup? Yeah...
6. 6. I don't want it to happen.

It disgusts me that clubs can get away with this kind of behaviour. It's about time there were some limits imposed on how much they can spend, because sooner or later, there won't be any competition worth speaking of, and the game I love so much will become a sham. It's likely there will be a lot of rants on this particular subject over the next month and a half because it's something I feel strongly about.

Valencia are in trouble

It breaks my heart to see this club in so much trouble. Last season, their troubles were on the pitch. We all know how that panned out for them, one bad coach and team confidence was low, the results just weren't going their way. With the arrival of Unai Emery, that all seemed to change. The team made a fantastic start to the season and led the La Liga table for quite a few weeks, but recently, they have had a glitch in from and have dropped some points.

That's not the trouble they're in though. All summer, there was talk of the big names like Silva, Veeyah and Joaquin being sold to raise much needed funds. Somehow, they managed to hold onto these players, and now, they have until the end of the year to pay off part of the huge debts they're in. Basically, this could explain things much better than me. I know that goal.com isn't what you'd call a reliable source, but it's on the Valencia site too, so it must be true. I just can't translate it on there.

I just really hope that they can find a way out of this, because it would kill me to see this club fall apart because of something like this. Basically, the press are saying the only way out of this is to sell Villa, Silva and Joaquin. I think that's a load of shite. Fair enough, you sell them now, you get the money, you pay off some of the debt. What happens when you need more money, but you don't have those three around anymore? Do you keep selling? What happens when the team stops getting the results because they don't have the players to do it with? It's stupid saying all of the club's problems will be solved by selling their star names, because in the long term, it'll only cause more problems. Sure, things will be ok for a while, but what happens then? At least they had the sense to see that over the summer, and hopefully with their current form, they can get back into the CL and get sponsorship money from that. Just please don't let them go bankrupt. It will break my heart.
